Two Local Charity Leaders are Guests at our Club Meeting
With the
scheduled speaker being unable to attend because of illness, time was available
to hear from two of our first-time guests (brought by Rtn. Nick Harborne) at
our Pepe Sale meeting on 21st of February:
Lorna
McArdle (left) is founder and VEO of SupportU (www.support.org.uk), a charity
that helps counter the many and varied difficulties that are experienced by
gay, lesbian, bi and trans people among our townsfolk.
Francisca
Yates (right)is CEO of CommuniCare (www.communicare.org.uk), a local charity
that offers support and advice to local people, including those who are
homeless. It aims to meet their complete needs by offering them both advice and
support.
We were
impressed with their work and hope that they enjoyed their time with us and so will
come again.
